Rectangle 271

We are the stewards of the land and resources.

We’d like to begin with a land acknowledgement by thanking the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq, Dena’ina/Tanaina, and Yup’ik/Yupiaq peoples of Bristol Bay. We recognize the thousands of years of stewardship and acknowledge the people of the region as they continue to be the caretakers of the land.”

Bristol Bay is extraordinary. The region’s spectacular natural environment and incredible array of wildlife depend on us to be good stewards. That’s why BBNC takes great care in the management of its lands, using the values and traditions of our ancestors to guide our work. We look to assist Bristol Bay communities with responsible development opportunities and locally supported infrastructure and transportation projects. We also help individuals in a variety of ways—from help with Native allotments to assistance with land access.
